About the area
The festival area is about 10 minutes away from the city centre (by tram). There are two big grocery stores close by (each about 10 minutes walk) for all self-catering. Anybody who urgently needs to by a new TV for his tent, will get it at a close by store, which specializes in electro powered goods (also about 10 minutes walk).

Water park
For all the water freaks, there's a new water park behind the Europahalle which opened recently (March 2008). It features a 25-meter pool for swimmers, an adventure pool with flow channel, an outer pool with various water attractions, a sauna area and much more. You can find all details about the water park at www.europabad-karlsruhe.de (in German only).

ZKM
Close by the Europahalle (about five minutes to walk) there's the Art and Mediatechnology Center (ZKM), which is unique in its way of a media museum with contemporary exhibits. In contrast to classical museums most of the exhibits are interactional ones: a tram simulator, with which the visitor can travel virtual through Karlsruhe, a computer, which can (with some patience) pour a glass of milk, virtual plants, which grow when you touch them and many more. You won't regret a visit!
The parade on Sunday starts at the square in front of the ZKM.

Filmpalast am ZKM
Everybody, who doesn't want to miss any new movies during the EJC, will be excited about the multiplex-cinema Filmpalast am ZKM, which is about 5 minutes away.
